Before New Milford Public Library closes its doors for a major renovation, the Friends of NMPL are giving the community one last chance to load up on affordable reads. Their Annual Summer Book Sale—held at New Milford High School from July 11 to 13—will be the final sale for at least two years, making it a can’t-miss event for avid readers, families, and book collectors alike.
Here’s the full schedule:
- Thursday, July 11: Early Bird Hour (9–10 a.m.) for $5 admission; free entry from 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
- Friday, July 12: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 13: Final clearance from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.—everything half price!
From page-turning novels and vintage paperbacks to kids’ books and how-to guides, the sale features a vast, ever-changing inventory at bargain prices. With construction halting future events until at least 2027, the Friends group urge attendees to “think ahead and STOCK up!”
Don’t wait—this is your only shot at literary treasures for years to come:
